Reflections of Winter

When we think of photographing reflections in water, we tend to think of summer, when we're more likely to hang out around boats, docks, ponds, lakes and other bodies of water. For those who dare to go out shooting in the cold, those reflections are still around in winter--sometimes with ice for an added element of interest. I took this shot in December of the South Reflecting Pond at the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial--better known as the park at the St. Louis Arch. Along with trees, those are city buildings in the background.
