Feeling a little rusty? Uninspired? Stuck in rut? Curious about trying something new? Or want to grow as a photographer? This might be just the class you’re looking for. It’s all about creative play with the camera—pushing boundaries, breaking rules and letting go of old habits. Expect to have fun, explore new ideas, play around with new techniques and look at things in new ways.

For photographers at any level who want to shake up their routine, discover new ways of seeing and making photographs, learn a few warm-up exercises to get their creative juices flowing, and take artistic expression to a new level. 

Offered online via Maine Media Workshops. Weekly activities include:

• slide presentation and discussion

• exercises to get your creative juices flowing

• photographic assignments and image reviews

• additional emails with insight and encouragement

The course includes three online sessions with instruction, discussion, and image reviews. (You will receive instructions for the first class several weeks in advance.) Between the three sessions, you will receive additional inspiration and assignments via email. You can do the assignments anywhere—indoors or out.

All cameras are welcome. Use the tools you’ve got. You just need to know how to process and share images digitally (A camera phone and Snapseed are fine).
